Virtual reality in Basel for 16 players simultaneously

The VIRTUAL ARENA in the Erlebniscenter Basel offers 450m2 of family-friendly entertainment for up to 16 people simultaneously. Young and old can experience unforgettable gaming fun with full freedom of movement on the largest connected virtual reality gaming area in Switzerland. Thanks to state-of-the-art wireless VR technology, players from 7 years can enjoy competitive and co-operative games without any additional heavy equipment. Virtual Reality in Basel can be played in the Erlebniscenter in the Dreispitz Areal Basel and is perfect for team events, team outings, company events, team building, stag and hen parties, children’s birthday parties and in bad weather.

Undecided and spontaneous visitors can also play without booking during opening hours.

Our Games

Laser Tag

In Laser Tag you’ll experience action-packed battles with laser weapons in the simulated urban combat of the future. In this fast-paced and exciting science fiction shooter you’ll dive into a world that offers many winding corridors and rooms, as well as obstacles to hide behind.

Paintball

Incredible paintball action for young and old in a scenario with many creative and colorful obstacles. The setting was inspired by a well-known South Korean TV series.

Zero Gravity Marbles

In this innovative VR game, you have to prove your skills in a Zero-G VR Esports Arena. The aim of the game is to skilfully move a large marble through smaller marbles into a mysterious black hole. You only have a few seconds per shot to do this.

Wild West

Young and old alike will quickly work up a sweat in this action-packed, competitive shooter. Changing indoor and outdoor settings provide plenty of variety.

Snow Battle

Snow Battle is a virtual snowball fight for the whole family. In front of a magical backdrop, 2 teams compete against each other and experience a winter fun of a very special kind.

Office War (March 2025)

This fast-paced shooter is the perfect game to challenge your colleagues after a long day at the office! Armed with fountain pens, you have to prove your skill and marksmanship in an open-plan office.

How it works

You can choose between the different games on site in the VIRTUAL ARENA in the Erlebniscenter Basel. The pure playing time per session is 25 minutes (5 rounds of 5 minutes each). Including the briefing and short breaks, approx. 30 minutes should be allowed for. The games can be booked every half hour.

In order to be able to enjoy the games as carefree as possible, the safety instructions from the staffmust be adhered to at all times.

You can make a reservation via this website. Please note that a reservation is binding and must be cancelled at least 24 hours before no-show via the email info@erlebniscenter.ch. Payment can be made online or on site by card. We accept Maestro, Mastercard, VISA, V-Pay, American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Cash payment is also possible on site at the VIRTUAL ARENA Basel in the Experience Centre.
